Description: In nature population of N. beringianus, dwelling in the North-East of Russia, advance in sexual development of cystacanths, living in the intermediate hosts, was found. Precocious development in ostracods consists in fragmentation of ovary in ovarian balls of females, and in gamete production in males of N. beringianus. Presence of spermatozoa in seminal vesicles of males is identified by means of electron microscopy. Data on occurrence of cystacanths of different stages of maturity in ostracods are given.
