Description: We have shown the morphometric differences in L. saxatilis and L. obtusata populations, inhabiting sites of the White and Barents Seas by geometric morphometric methods. In most cases traditional morphometry could not reveal clear results. Linear measurements are usually highly correlated with size. Geometric morphometric allows us exclude size and analyze only shape and form of the objects by landmark-based techniques. In our study 2D-geometric morphometric methods were used to find shell differences between infected and uninfected mollusks.
